Detect: Beam Junctions

Description

Identifies and highlights ends of beam elements that are connected to two or more other beam elements, forming a junction according to rules set under View Settings: Free Edge Tab.

Once set, the function remains active to dynamically highlight beam junctions as the model is changed. To stop highlighting beam junctions, deactivate the function.

Dialog

A number of selection options may be applied upon activating the function.

Select junction ends

If set, beam ends at identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select whole element.

Select whole element

If set, beams at identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select junction ends.

Select nodes on junction ends

If set, nodes at identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select nodes on element.

Select nodes on element

If set, nodes on both ends of beams at identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select nodes on junction ends.

Right-click functions

Right-click the Detect/Beam Junction icon to open View Settings: Free Edge Tab.
