Detect: Face Edges

Description

Identifies and highlights edges of geometry faces that are not connected to other faces according to rules set underView Settings: Free Edge Tab.

Once set, the function remains active to dynamically highlight face edges as the model is changed. To stop highlighting face edges, deactivate the function.

Dialog

A number of selection options may be applied upon activating the function.

Select free edges

If set, identified face free edges are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select whole face.

Select whole face

If set, faces with identified free edges are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select free edges.

Select vertices on free edges

If set, vertices on identified face free edges are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select vertices on face.

Select vertices on face

If set, all vertices on faces with identified free edges are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select vertices on free edges.

Right-click functions

Right-click the Detect/Face Edge icon to open View Settings: Free Edge Tab.
