Node Attributes: Rotational Mass
Description
Assigns rotational mass to selected nodes using three orthogonal principal components and a coordinate system.
Rotational mass attributes are independent of load and freedom cases.
Dialog
Mass X / Y / Z
Three principal components of a rotational mass matrix defined in the selected coordinate system.
Coordinate System
The coordinate system (UCS) in which the principal rotational mass components are defined.
The rotational mass attribute remains associated with the UCS in which it is defined. Subsequent changes to the UCS will change the resulting mass matrix.
In geometric nonlinear analysis, the principal directions of the attribute's mass matrix are not updated.
