ST7-1.50.40.4 Defining Contact Interfaces
Contact between multiple bodies in Strand7 is achieved using contact elements, which are a type of beam element. Whenever possible, it is best to use node to node contact, which is simply a contact beam element connecting two nodes. This is generally done in situations where there is a regular mesh, or the mesh on either side of the gap is the same, facilitating extrusion of contact beam elements between them.
