The information in this Webnote relates to Strand7 Release 2.4.5 and later.
Connection elements in Strand7 can be thought of as flexible links. This Webnote focuses only on mechanical analysis. For mechanical analysis, connection elements are defined by up to six independent stiffness values, three translational and three rotational. Unlike the beam element, there is no coupling between different degrees of freedom.
