Wood-Armer moments are a convenient way of expressing an arbitrary field of moments (Mxx, Myy and Mxy) in terms of the direction of the reinforcing bars in a concrete slab. They were derived from the theory of elasticity in the 1960s when a number of authors contributed to their development.
