Brick Attributes: Face Normal Pressure
Description
Assigns uniform pressure normal to selected faces of brick elements.
Positive pressure acts inwards onto the brick face. Negative pressure acts outwards away from the face.
The magnitude of the resultant force is equal to pressure × face surface area.
In nonlinear analysis, the direction of the pressure load will always be normal to the face as the brick deflects and deforms.
Pressure attributes are load case dependent.
