Properties: Import/Export Materials

Description

Material data may be imported from, and exported to, their respective libraries.

Import Material

Select and import material data from the library.

Collections List

List of all available material data collections. Each collection contains a number of material data definitions.

Collection

Name of the collection to which the selected material data belongs.

Item

Name of the selected data definition.

Import damping data

If set, any damping data stored in the imported material data is automatically assigned to the property. If not set, the property damping data is left as is.

Show / Hide Tab

List of available collections together with their visibility state.

Visible collections are shown in the Materials tab, while hidden collections are not. Collection visibility is changed by clicking the checkmark on the collection name.

Delete

Deletes the selected material data definition from the collection. Unlike hidden collections, deleted material data cannot be recovered. Note that to delete a material, the user needs write access to the library.

Import

Assigns the selected material data to the property.

Export Material

Exports material data to the material library.

Collection List

Collection

Name of the collection to which the material data will be exported.

A new collection will be created if the name does not match any of the existing collections.

Item

Name of the exported material data.
