Export: ANSYS File

Description

Exports finite element data of a Strand7 model to ANSYS format.

Dialog

Name

Opens the file dialog to specify the location and name of the file to be exported.

Default Freedom Case

Specifies the freedom case to pair with the exported load cases.

Pre-load/Non-structural Mass Load Case

Specifies the load case from which pre-load and non-structural mass attributes are exported. This is available if the Export Pre-load/Non-structural Mass option is set.

Units

Units system of the exported ANSYS file.

Export Nonlinear Material Data

If set, nonlinear material tables are exported for all element types. Beam elements with nonlinear material tables are then exported as BEAM188, whereas beam elements without material nonlinear tables are exported as BEAM44 elements.

If not set, material tables are ignored for all element types. In this case, beam elements are exported as BEAM44 elements.

Export Heat Transfer Data

If set, heat transfer data of plate and brick elements is exported.

Export Pre-load/Non-structural Mass

If set, pre-load and non-structural mass attributes in the load case specified under Pre-load/Non-structural Mass Load Case are exported.

Export Tetra4/Tetra10 as SOLID72/SOLID92

If set, Tetra4 and Tetra10 brick elements are exported as SOLID72 and SOLID92 respectively. If not set, Tetra4 and Tetra10 brick elements are exported as SOLID70 and SOLID90 respectively.

Export Quad8 Shell as SHELL91

If set, Quad8 shell elements are exported as SHELL91 elements (legacy shell). If not set, Quad8 shell elements are exported as SHELL281 elements.

Export Format

Specifies the format of the exporting file.

Beam Partial End Release

Specifies how beam translational and rotational end release attributes with stiffness (i.e. partial releases), are exported.
