Import: SAP2000 File
Description
Imports a SAP2000 file with file extension of .s2k or .$2k.
Dialog
Name
Opens the file dialog to locate and select the SAP2000 file to be imported. Note that files can also be imported by using drag-and-drop directly onto the Strand7 model window or startup screen (see Strand7 Interface: Startup Screen).
Decimal Separator
The symbol used to represent a decimal separator in the imported file.

Period (.)
Data in the imported file is read with a period symbol between numbers as the decimal separator. For example, "0.5" is recognised as 1/2.

Comma (,)
Data in the imported file is read with a comma symbol between numbers as the decimal separator. For example, "0,5" is recognised as 1/2.
Thousands Separator
The symbol used to represent the thousands separator in the importing file.

Period (.)
Data in the imported file is read with a period symbol between numbers as the thousands separator. For example, "1.000.000" is recognised as one million.

Comma (,)
If selected, data in the importing file is read with comma symbol between numbers as the thousands separator. For example, 1,000,000 is recognised as one million.

Space ( )
Data in the imported file is read with white space between numbers as the thousands separator. For example, "1 000 000" is recognised as one million.

None
Thousands separator is not used in the imported file. For example, "1000000" is recognised as one million.
Merge Duplicate Freedom Cases
If set, only one instance of freedom cases containing identical attributes will remain in the model, with the freedom case names merged together into one.
Reset File Units
Resets the units of the imported SAP2000 file while keeping its dimensional values unchanged.
This dialog is provided after confirming a SAP2000 file and its import options. The dialog shows the units used in the SAP2000 file and provides options to reset these. The imported file is converted to the current units of the Strand7 model based on the units selected.
