Detect: Plate Junctions

Description

Identifies and highlights edges of plate elements that are connected to two or more other plate elements, forming a junction according to rules set under View Settings: Free Edge Tab.

Once set, the function remains active to dynamically highlight plate junctions as the model is changed. To stop highlighting plate junctions, deactivate the function.

Dialog

A number of selection options may be applied upon activating the function.

Select junction edges

If set, plate edges at the identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select whole element.

Select whole element

If set, plates at identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select junction edges.

Select nodes on junction edges

If set, nodes at identified plate junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select nodes on element.

Select nodes on element

If set, all nodes on plates at identified junctions are selected. Cannot be set in conjunction with Select nodes on junction edges.

Right-click functions

Right-click the Detect/Plate Junction icon to open View Settings: Free Edge Tab.
