Edge Attributes: Normal Pressure
Description
Assigns edge pressure to selected geometry edges.
When the geometry is automeshed, plates created along the geometry edge will inherit the edge pressure attribute (see Plate Attributes: Edge Normal Pressure).
The pressure acts in the plane of the plate in the direction normal to the edge. A positive pressure acts outwards and a negative pressure acts inwards.
The magnitude of the resultant force is equal to pressure × edge length × membrane (or equivalent) thickness.
Pressure attributes are load case dependent.
