Plate Attributes: Edge Normal Pressure

Description

Assigns edge pressure to selected edges of plate elements.

The pressure acts in the plane of the plate in the direction normal to the edge. A positive pressure acts outwards and a negative pressure acts inwards.

The magnitude of the resultant force is equal to pressure × edge length × membrane (or equivalent) thickness.

Pressure attributes are load case dependent.
