Plate Attributes: Face Convection Ambient Temperature

Description

Assigns a convection ambient temperature to surfaces of selected plate elements.

Applicable only to heat transfer analysis.

Models uniform heat flow via convection through the surface of the plate to or from an ambient environment. The attribute is paired with a plate face convection coefficient attribute, which together define the heat flow rate.

Different ambient temperatures can be defined on the -z and +z surfaces.

The ambient temperature can be scaled as a function of time.

Convection ambient temperature attributes are load case dependent.
