Insert Link Clusters: Reaction MPL

Description

Inserts a reaction multi-point link (MPL) cluster between selected nodes.

Link origin can be entered manually or automatically assigned.

An entity set containing elements is also required.

The nodal forces and moments at nodes of each element in the entity set are added to the resultant, as long as those nodes are also attached to the MPL.

Automatic Origin

If set, automatically computes the origin location as the average position of all selected nodes. If not set, the origin coordinates need to be entered manually .

Origin (X/Y/Z)

Coordinates of the origin in the global coordinate system. Moments will be calculated about this point.

May be entered only if Automatic Origin is not set.

Set

Entity set containing elements used by the MPL for the calculation of reaction forces and moments.

Target group

The group to which the inserted link clusters are added. See Target group.

Apply

Inserts the link based on the provided definition.
