Results Options: Envelopes Tab
Description
Configures the reporting of envelope results.
The envelopes must be re-generated in CASES: Envelope Cases for changes to take effect.

Averaging order
This option is relevant only when averaging options are used in the generation of enveloped element results such as plate and brick stress. Averaging relates to the reporting of a unique result, at a node where more than one element is connected.
-
Envelope, then average
For all elements connected to a node, the envelope of all the included cases is generated for each element independently (producing one result per connected element). The average of these independently enveloped results is then reported as the nodal value.
-
Average, then envelope
For each result case considered in the envelope, the average result of all elements connected to a node is calculated as the nodal value (producing one average result per considered result case). The envelope of these averaged results is then reported as the nodal value.
Insert additional stations for beam forces and moments
If not set, envelopes for beam forces and moments are evaluated only at the fixed number of slices set in Result Settings: Entity Tabs.
If set, additional stations or slices may be inserted automatically along the beam element to capture peaks and other points of interest. See Results Interpretation: Beam Slices.
