Align Tools: Rotate Plate Connections

Description

Rotates selected plates about the local +z axis by cycling the node connectivity order.

For example, a Quad4 plate that is connected to nodes 6, 19, 4 and 65 will be connected to nodes 65, 6, 19 and 4 after rotating its connections once in the clockwise direction.

Rotation direction about the local +z axis.

• Clockwise

  Clockwise direction.

• Anticlockwise

  Anticlockwise direction.

Common Uses

Rotate a plate to swap its A and B axes for Mesh Tools: Subdivide.
