Beam Attributes: Heat Transfer Convection Ambient Temperature

Description

Assigns a convection ambient temperature to selected ends of beam elements.

Applicable only to heat transfer analysis.

Models uniform heat flow via convection through the cross section of the beam end. The attribute is paired with a beam end convection coefficient attribute, which together define the heat flow rate.

The ambient temperature can be scaled as a function of time.

Convection ambient temperature attributes are load case dependent.
