Face Attributes: Heat Transfer Radiation Coefficient
Description
Assigns a radiation coefficient to selected faces.
When the geometry is automeshed, plates created on the face will inherit the radiation coefficient attribute (see Plate Attributes: Face Convection Coefficient).
Applicable only to nonlinear heat transfer analysis.
Models uniform heat flow via radiation through the surface to or from an ambient environment. The attribute is paired with a radiation ambient temperature attribute, which together define the heat flow rate.
Different radiation coefficients can be defined on the -z and +z surfaces.
The coefficient can be scaled as a function of time and/or temperature.
Radiation coefficient attributes are load case dependent.
