Vertex Attributes: Heat Source

Description

Assigns a scalar heat source to selected vertices.

The value of the heat source can be scaled as a function of time and/or temperature.

When the geometry is meshed, the node created at the vertex will inherit the heat source attribute (see Node Attributes: Heat source).

Vertex heat source attributes are not interpolated along edges during meshing.

Heat source attributes are load case dependent and are used only by the heat solvers.

Factor vs Time Table

A table that scales the heat source value as a function of time.

This is applicable only to the Transient Heat solver.

Factor vs Temperature Table

A table that scales the heat source value as a function of nodal temperature.
