Used for the definition of truss properties.

Material Tab

Include Torsional Stiffness

If set, rotational degrees of freedom around the principal 3 axis are included, which enable the element to provide a torque stiffness.

If not set, the element provides only axial stiffness.

The shear modulus, which controls the torsional stiffness, may be defined by either setting it directly or by specifying Poisson's ratio.
