Insert: Rigid MPL

Description

Inserts a rigid multi-point link (MPL) between a slave node and one or more master nodes.

This link is equivalent to a cluster of individual rigid links (Insert: Rigid MPL), each connected from the slave node to a different master node. However, as it is a single link, not multiple links, it is generally more efficient to work with an MPL than with a cluster of individual links.

Connectivity

Link connectivity is defined one node at a time, starting with the slave node. The currently active node can be changed by clicking on the corresponding row in the node table. The number of nodes connected to the link can also be changed at any time.

A more efficient way to insert a rigid MPL connecting a slave node to a cluster of master nodes is to use Insert Link Clusters: Rigid.

Dialog

Plane

Rigid links active space or plane.

Points

The number of nodes in the link, excluding the same node.

Coordinate System

The coordinate system (UCS) in which the active plane is defined.

Link group

The group to which the inserted link is added. See Target group.

Node Table

List of nodes connected to the MPL. The first node is the slave node and all the others are the master nodes.

The cell of the active node is highlighted when editing node connectivity.

Apply

Inserts the link based on the provided definition.
