Tools: Copy Common Controls
Several controls appear frequently on the copy tool dialog. These controls are referred to as common controls.
Controls
The increment of the property type for each repeat of the copy operation.
For example, if a source entity of property type 1 is copied three times with a property increment of 2, the first copy is assigned property type 3, the second copy is assigned property type 5, and the third copy is assigned property type 7.
The increment may be zero, a positive integer or a negative integer. If, as a result of a negative increment, the resulting property number becomes negative, it is set to zero.
The number of copies to create.
Must be an integer greater than zero.
If set, node and/or vertex attributes on the source entities are also copied.
If set, element and/or face attributes on the source entities are also copied.
If set, the string group ID of truss elements, if assigned, is incremented for each copy so that each copy belongs to a new string group. The string group ID of the source truss elements remains unchanged (see Beam Attributes: String Group).
This option is only applicable to truss elements.
If set, the cluster ID of geometry edges, if assigned, is incremented for each copy so that each copy belongs to a new cluster. The cluster ID of the source geometry edges remains unchanged (see Edge Attributes: Edge Cluster).
This option is only applicable to geometry faces/edges.
If set, each copy is placed into a new group created specifically for the copy. New groups are created with a group structure similar to that of the source entities (see Tool Options: Copy/Create Tab).
If not set, the copied entities are placed in their source groups.
This option is not applicable to source entities in the root group (i.e., the Model group). The root group is not copied and therefore entities in the root group produce copies that remain in the root group.
Create New UCS for Element Axes
If set, copies of brick elements and connection beams are automatically assigned a new UCS as local axes if the source element references a UCS. This option is only applicable to Copy Tools: by Increment with non-Cartesian UCS, Copy Tools: by Mirror and Copy Tools: by Rotation.
