Tools: Project to Point

This projection method is used only by Extrude Tools: by Projection to Point.

The operation projects the source nodes to the target point, producing valid extrusions in the following cases:

Nodes extrude to beams or links.
Beam elements extrude to triangular plate elements.
Triangular plate elements and triangular brick faces extrude to tetrahedral brick elements.
Quadrilateral plate elements and quadrilateral brick faces extrude to pyramid brick elements.

Other situations will generally not produce valid extrusions.

This projection method is mostly used to produce clusters of beams or links by extruding nodes on a cavity boundary to a point, as illustrated in the following image.
